InkMaine has been an Art & Tattoo studio in Rumford since 2010.  With over 16 years of Professional Art & Tattoo experience, serving the community with Gaskyl Productions.  An event hosting company since 2001 &  newly developing Print Studio, offering full color copies, posters, business cards, design work, and screen printing clothing and apparel.  We host many events around  including Fuel The Arts Expo, Maine's only art & tattoo expo.  We plan many concerts, fundraisers, benefits, craft shows, cookoffs, and assist with the River Valley Relay For Life.  In assoction with EnvisionRumford,

Senator Lisa Keim was elected on November 8, 2016 to serve the constituents of District 18 in the Maine State Senate. She serves as Chair of the Judiciary Committee and as a member of the State and Local Government Committee. Senator Keim holds a B.S. in Leadership and Marketing from the University of Southern Maine. She is a lifelong resident of western Maine, a wife of 25 years and a proud mother of three children that she homeschooled until high school.

 A Program Manager for LEAP and Licensed Social Worker, Kim is dedicated to providing community service in Rumford and Western Maine.  She attended Mexico High School and furthered her education with a Bachelors degree from the University of Farmington and Masters degree at Springfield College.  Kim started her service career as a volunteer parent in the Head Start program and then the VISTA Domestic Crisis program.  In addition to Envision Rumford, Kim is one of the founding members of the Rumford Performing Arts Committee and a board member of the River Valley Healthy Communities.  She says that giving back to the community is personally rewarding.  To quote Goldie Hawn, “Giving back is as good for you as it is for those you are helping, because giving gives you purpose. When you have a purpose-driven life, you’re a happier person”.

Role: Advocate and Business Advisor for local businesses.

In conjunction with the Town of Rumford, CCFC created the F.A.R.E. (Financial Assistance for Rumford Enterprises) loan package which offers business owners a low interest financing option to mitigate the economic effect of the island construction in Summer of 2018. Loan clients receive one-on-one technical assistance services to aid with financial planning, cash flow projections and operational planning.

CCFC is a non-profit organization, considered a non-traditional lender, who aims to assist loan clients prepare and transition into becoming traditionally bankable. CCFC has been recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration as the Top Performing Microlender in the state of Maine for the past 3 years and we have been happy to contribute to the economic development and sustainability in the Rumford/River Valley region.

Meet the man behind the artwork:

Brent Bachelder

Brent grew up Newry, Maine. He graduated from Telstar High School in 1985. He then went off to Providence, Rhode Island, where he earned a BFA degree from the Rhode Island School of Design. He started his business, Club Neopolsi Creations Design Studio, right after graduation in 1989. He later attended Rhode Island College, graduating in 1999 with a second Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

After 32 years away, Brent moved back to Maine in early 2017, settling in the Virginia section of Rumford. He brought his business of creating custom artwork with him and also opened Art with Mr. Brent in October 2017, offering art classes for kids and adults.

In 2019, he will be celebrating his 30th year in business!

 

Besides his two businesses, he is currently a member of Envision Rumford, the President of Teaberry Arts, is on the task force of Bethel Area Arts & Music and is excited to be part of the newly forming Rumford Beautification group. George O’Keefe is the Economic Development Director for the Town of Rumford and has served in that role since October 2018. George retired after 11 years of service in the Maine Army National Guard as an intelligence analyst and has previous experience in community relations, non-profit leadership and private sector consulting for housing development. George has specialties in government affairs, rail transportation policy, public-private partnerships and has extensive training and experience in geospatial information systems and mapping. George graduated from the Catholic University of America in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and from Cochise College in 2008 with an Associate’s Degree in Intelligence Operations. He has also conducted graduate studies in public policy and management at the Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Southern Maine and business administration at Thomas College.
